Book Description(from Amazon)
Scandalized to discover that the masked man with whom she’d shared a dance—and a forbidden embrace—is in fact the ton’s most celebrated rake, Regina Hackett vows to keep her distance. Yet when her cousin vanishes, it is to Puck that Regina must turn. And as they embark on a dangerous journey through London’s darkest alleys, Regina will discover that beneath Puck’s roguish facade lies a man who will stop at nothing to protect her—or to convince her to take a chance on an unrepentant sinner.
A MIDSUMMER’S NIGHT SIN by Kasey Michaels is an exciting historical romance. Book 2 in The “Blackthorn Brothers” trilogy, but can be read as a stand alone. I absolutely love this series. This series is about three brothers who are bastards, whose mother enjoyed Shakespeare and named her children accordingly. “Midsummer’s Night Sin” is about the youngest sibling, Robin “Puck” Blackthorn, handsome, witty,a rogue,a scoundrel,a bastard, and lives in the moment and Regina Hackett, who is destined to become some wealthy man’s wife,or so her father insists. Regina’s cousin vanishes during a masquerade ball,”Puck” steps in to help. With witty banter, danger, sweet sensuality, romance, determination to find why young, blond women are vanishing in the night. Regina and “Puck” with the help of Puck’s sibling will reveal long-buried secrets and the truth will surface. While, “Midsummer’s Night Sin” is a fast paced, story with characters who draw you into the story, it also focuses on white slavery, and the disappearance of young women throughout London who are to be sold to the highest bidder. A must read! What a wonderful trilogy. I can hardly wait for the next installment,Blackthorn brothers and their parentage. absolutely, wonderful.
